Safe Banking Systems provides Anti-Money Laundering and Compliance Solutions to the financial services industry. We seek candidates with a general understanding of name/address databases and knowledge of Microsoft Excel to review and edit a large database of individual/company names and locations on a daily basis. This function supports the data formatting requirements related to the watch list filtering products and services delivered to our customers.

The successful candidate will be highly detail-oriented, with an aptitude for multi-cultural naming conventions and world geography. The role involves working with industry standard watch-list databases to identify new and/or changed information and then editing and maintaining the enhanced database on a daily basis.

 

1. Review changed information on industry standard databases on a daily basis.
2. Conduct investigations on the Internet as needed.
3. Edit and maintain the SBS enhanced database on a daily basis.
4. Maintain Excel spreadsheet.
5. Provide back up editing coverage to the Senior Editor as needed.
6. Provide telephone reception: answer incoming telephone calls and direct all inquiries to the appropriate SBS staff.
7. Assist Senior Editor and other SBS staff with other assignments as required.

• Minimum years of experience: 2-3 years. (We encourage individuals who are returning to the job market to apply.)
• Minimum education: High School or Technical Diploma
• Previous experience working with large databases or domestic/international travel or proofreading is a plus.
